Not sure if this one made it to the wish list yet for ToneX:

We have Tonex integrated inside Amplitube. Now we need Amplitube integrated inside ToneX with the feature that it is basically a no-brainer to capture an Amplitibe preset for use inside ToneX. That way the ToneX pedal can replicate all of the awesome Amplitube presets that are out there and can be used live without extra computer tech. It would eliminate the need to cart around a laptop/iPad for live shows if we could capture the Amplitube preset and load to the ToneX pedal.

It's possible to do this now and Jason Sadites has a video on it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUwTye51f48

but let' make it a idiot proof. You open up ToneX and in the capture options you have the option presented to capture an Amplitube preset. Point to the preset and be done.

Most or all of these have been posted before, but instead of replying +1 to every single one of those posts, here’s my own wishlist.

1. Multiple captures and delayed batch training.
I’ve seen many posts for this. I think this would be huge for a lot of people. I would love to turn on an amp, let it warm up, take 10 captures, power the amp off and run the training at a later time. After the tube shortage of 2022, I’ve become more sensitive to how much I use my amps and how long I leave them on.

2. Offload training to other machines.
Seen many posts for this too and can be tied into #1. Take multiple captures on my macbook, then transfer them to a PC with an Nvidia card at a later time for advanced training. This and #1 would be a huge time saver.

3. Big pedal: Option to turn off bypass on footswitches.
The way I use the big pedal, there is no scenario where I want to bypass it. If the footswitch for the current preset is pressed it could either 1.) have no effect or 2.) reload the preset, any changes would be lost.

4. Big pedal: copy IRs directly to pedal
Instead of copying a preset just to get an IR on the pedal.

5. Big pedal and One: line level output option
In my experience, with most tone models’ volumes around 50% and the main output at max, the output is instrument level. An option for a 10-12dB increase to get it closer to line level and be able to directly feed a non-guitar power amp without an clean preamp or boost in between.

6. Big pedal: external footswitch option for bank switching to behave like dual button press bank switching.
There is definitely a good use for the current way the external footswitch works, but it would be nice to have the option for it to behave like the dual button press where it does not immediately switch the preset but scrolls through the banks instead.

7. I think this is supposed to come out next week but until it does, it’s still on my wish list: Live editor for presets on the pedal.

8. Librarian for tablet.
Plug a usb cable into my ipad and pedal and be able to manage the presets.

9. Librarian for One: More than 4 presets shown at a time.
The 3 loaded presets at the top take up too much screen space needlessly.

10. Big pedal: option for intermittent display scrolling.
The display will scroll once after a preset is loaded. Have an option where it will scroll every 5 or 10 seconds.

Use the pedal as audio interface for PC playback but using the pedal's DSP, without the need for Tonex software.

Hello.

First of all, I'll say that I love Tonex and thank you for the fantastic update with free effects!

I would like to suggest one solution if it is possible.

It's great that you've made it possible to disable the bypass in the options for the button with the active preset.

I was wondering if there would be an option to enable or disable effects in the preset instead of a bypass. You could add a blue icon (for example) to each effect in the Tonex application to assign it to the enable and disable effects. Then on the pedal- by pressing the button for the active preset a second time you could activate the effects that had this blue icon assigned in the application.

Please consider whether it is possible. This would not require changing the entire preset to the second one with effects and you could avoid a gap between presets.

The firmware update released on Thursday now has an option to turn off bypass.

To operate on each effect individually, midi is the best option at this point.

Yes i know that. I wrote about bypass on my post.

Aslo i know about midi but i didnt mean to on/off single effects. I would like to have option to choose one, two or more effects to be on/off with same button as actual preset (it could change led color then).

No problem.Translating things in English is not my best feature :D

What I wanted was for the Tonex pedal to have the option of pressing the button with the active preset again in order to turn on or off any previously assigned effects instead of using midi or changing presets.

Hello! Last update is really great, thank you very much!
My wish concerns Tonex Pedal effects settings. It would be nice if you can add "preset/global" option allowing to save effect's parameters "per preset" or "globally".
On the one hand, it will allow to create most used effect's settings globally and use them just by turning effect on and off over MIDI. On the other hand, if some particular effect setiing is needed then it can be saved just in the preset.

This !

JoshIsGoode1 wrote:I think that the biggest thing that is currently missing is the ability to control the Tonex pedal directly via the Tonex app. I use the pedal in the FX loop of my Helix Floor and control it via MIDI triggers with Helix snapshots. This works great, however, the inability to edit parameters on the pedal in real time with the app, similar to how HX Edit works, is quite annoying when designing presets for a full setlist of songs in a show. I have to load a tone model, sync it with the pedal, and then go to the actual pedal sitting on my floor to make any changes to the preset. It's quite an annoying little dance to have to do. It would be much nicer if I could tweak the parameters of the pedal digitally from my computer while designing sets lists in HX Edit.

In addition, this would make for MUCH easier auditioning of different cabs and VIRs when using the Tonex pedal instead of the plugin or standalone app. The DSP and connectivity of the Tonex pedal seem more than adequate to make this feature a possibility, and I'm sure it would massively benefit all the users that prefer to take full control of designing presets within the app.

Loving everything that Tonex has accomplished though! Seems like it's truly going to be a major market disruptor and I'm excited to see how the product continues to mature. :D
