Cubase :A Serious Problem has occurred

Postby neonsamurai » Fri Sep 20, 2024 2:18 am

Cubase :A Serious Problem has occurred in the following file
VC-670.vst3
PrecisionComp-Limiter.vst3

Hi there
I'm on Windows 10
Is anyone else having this issue and getting this warning when loading a project in Cubase 13 Pro
It does not happen everytime I open a project but 2 or 3 out of 5 times it does
So far I get the crash with the 670 and precision comp

I turned off hiDPI in the general settings in Cubase and the crashing has stopped

Hi, if you would still like to report this to the support team via https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/hw with your details (system information etc) and anything they'd like to take a look at, it might help to see if there's a way to work around or better yet fix a potential issue. I assume people really might not want to have to change that setting :) Thanks!

Yes,I have the same problem in Cubase 13.0.41 windows 11 latest update and T-Racks 6.0.2.

Tomorrow i can open a ticket to xplain it.

I also found that with some T-Racks the Cubase GUI becomes slow. I think it has to do with Open GL (happens with other developers)

Thanks

I forgot to comment, the preset window is unreadable because its size is too small, or the text does not scale with the window.

Today I had the same crash in Cubase with HiDPI turned off
That has only happened once in the last few days

I just created a project, and it hasn't failed me....however yesterday, it gave me several problems. The only difference could be that in the current project there is no audio involved passing through the plugins?

Tracks-6 has become completely unusable on my system with Cubase
It is crashing now with HiDPI off or on
I am unable to use these in any Cubase projects over fear of them becoming unstable now

Cubase 13 pro is crashing here also on both of my computers with windows 11. Not when using the plugins but when saving the project or starting the project with the plugins stored inside. It's realy anoying because every session I have to save to a new save name. When I start the previous save it will give me an instability error. I ran a windbg on several cubase crashdumps and it reports buffer overruns. The problem is reproducable. The old plugins (from T-Racks 5) gave me the same errors since I've installed T-Racks 6.
There are also 2 copy's of the same plugin in cubase. One with TR5 in the name and one without, wich is probably from the TR6 installation.
Hopefully it's getting fixed soon.

One cannot rely on hoping, the issue must be reported to IK Support so they are aware and they will assist you in getting your issue resolved. Thank you.

I had to remove my 6 because Cubase kept reporting errors. IK has been rock solid to getting the bugs worked out so I assume we'll see the same with v6.
