A lot of modules are absent from T-racks 6 MAX

Postby ghavet3 » Thu Sep 12, 2024 8:39 pm

Dear all,

I own and use the new T-racks 6 MAX (PC hardware) and none of the reverb and delay modules are accessible inside the software: Dual Spring, CSRs, Delay lab... They are simply absent because the reverb/delay category tab is missing from the module list. There should be one reverb/delay category tab similar to T-racks 5 but it has been forgotten.

Nethertheless

- The new types of modules that belong to other categories are present and working fine: Pusher, Channel strip X, Pusher, etc.
- The missing modules are all authorized, owned and listed inside the T-Racks 6 module manager
- They even work properly inside DAWs.

This bug should be fixed in priority!

I created a ticket yesterday and based on the replies it appears that IK Multimedia is completely unaware of the issue. Working with them now to resolve. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for your continued interest in T-RackS! In the new T-RackS 6, the standalone mode is now called the T-RackS 6 Mastering Console. It was designed with mastering in mind not for the modules more seen in the mixing stage. The reverbs and delay effects are not part of the final mastering step, but are to be used in the mixing stages of a track. This is why you can see them within your DAW but not on the T-RackS 6 Mastering Console (standalone mode).

Why can't the user decide for themselves what they need in the mastering chain? OK, a delay is really not necessary, but a reverb would be an advantage. I use a reverb every now and then when mastering. That's why I'm not using the T-Racks 6 standalone for now, but instead I'm using WLab. However, I get crashes when I use certain T-Racks 6 plugins in WLab...

Surprised by the unexpected removal of functionality though.
I quite often use very gentle reverb in my mastering chains, here's hoping it gets returned.
