So, Ive played with Modo Bass 2 for over a year now. I am a content producer for one of the biggest kids content creators on YouTube. I have to pump out 3 to 4 songs a week, from concept/writing to full masters. And Modo Bass was/is my go to for midi programming. I am so good at it, that I am now paid by people outside of my specific job to do it when people don't have the time or budget for a real bass player. Yes, you will never sound exactly like a real bassist, but in pop and kids music..... you can't tell once Im done with it.
I love the updated slides, hammerons, pull offs, string choice.... pretty much all the updated and added extras that Modo Bass 2.0 has given me.... however... and this is a big however. The sound of Modo 2 compared to Modo 1 is just no where near as good.
Im not sure if it was a different performer for the samples of Modo 2, but I am so often going back to Modo 1 now, Im seriously questioning my ears. Am I missing something? The punch is lacking in just about every model. It just sounds washy and undefined. Am I wrong? or are others hearing the same thing as I am?
