Do the SampleTank 4 MAX sounds include the standard sounds?

I'm installing SampleTank 4 MAX and realize that I'm downloading the sounds SampleTank 4 MAX, SampleTank 4, SampleTank 4 SE and SampleTank 4 CS.
Am I going to have dublicates after installing all of these or are they supposed to be installed together?

I am deducing that that SampleTank 4 MAX contains all of the sounds and content that is in all the other tiers.

When I purchased SampleTank 4 MAX, I only installed MAX. I did not bother with any of the other tiers.

I am happy to be corrected if this is not the case.

What specific sound from a lower tier are you attempting to use?

On my SampleTank 4 MAX, I have SampleTank 4 MAX as well as other IKM libraries present in the library list. I do not have any lower SampleTank 4 tiers present.

Yet, I have access to all of the sounds from the other SampleTank 4 tiers in there.

As long as you install all sounds for SampleTank 4 MAX, you will get all of the sounds from the lower tiers as well.

Remember, just clicking on SampleTank 4 MAX in the library, will not get you all of the sounds. Some are in other libraries.

For instance “Square Lead Oct”, is listed as being present in “SampleTank 4 SE” and above. However, that preset is actually a SampleTank 3 preset.

They should be available in your SampleTank 4 MAX sound installation in IK Product Manager, not listed as the separate products. If that is not the case for you once you've installed the full SampleTank 4 MAX v2 sound installation (under the Sounds tab) please reach out to IK Support for direct assistance. Thank you.

Thank you, Peter! Unfortunately, only MP2 SE sounds are available for installation. Filed a support ticket. Hopefully, this can be easily fixed.

Same question here. I've installed ST Max and mow ST 4 and ST 4 SE are showing up in Product Manager as needing an 'update'.

When I click update, it starts installing ALL of the content from those two smaller bundles.

So I'm guessing the Max installer doesn't include everything.

I was also confused as to what to install. There is not really a clear information if the four SOUNDS packages are exclusive or inclusive.
I tend to believe they are exclusive, so we need to install them all to get all sounds. Somehow this makes sense to me as this reduces the file sizes and there are no duplicates in different packages.
It is just that this information should be stated somewhere.

SampleTank 4 Max v2 announces 606GB.
The files for download are:
- ST4 CS: ~3GB
- ST4 SE: ~30GB
- ST4: ~90GB
- ST4 MAX: ~210GB
The sum is ~333GB

I have installed the ST4 CS package first it is a ~3GB file that unpacks to ~4GB.
I am now in the process of installing the ST4 MAX package, and it is still downloading and installing in the background. The destination directory where the libraries are installed increases (~160GB and growing) and non of the files from the CS package have been overridden.

Once this ST4 MAX is fully installed, I will start up ST4 and I try to find a sound that comes with the ST4 SE package (which I did NOT install).

...finally the package 'ST4 MAX' is installed (ST4 SE installed 2 days ago)
IK Product manager says: 292GB on disk
The downloaded files were: 186GB (99 zip files)
My Library folder contains: 247GB
My Library Folder contains: 8120 instruments (st3i, st4i files)
My Library Folder contains: 270 multis (st3m, st4m files)

Although I DID NOT install ST4 and ST4 SE, all the Sounds listed in the PDF in column 2 and 3 (col 1 is the inst. name) are available. Example:
- Bright Grand Piano 1
- Baby Grand Classical
- 4001 Sunburst Bass Delay
- Motown P Bass 1

Interesting is that only some of the Sounds from 'ST4 CS' are NOT IN the PDF list:
- Berlin Grand Piano
- P Bass Fat Finger
- Studio Vibes Dyna
- Stage Kit

Finally:
I am reluctant to install the other two packages (ST4 and ST4 SE).
I think it was not needed to install ST4 CS as ST4 MAX contains enough similar sounds.

Can someone tell me if the MAX Syntronik downloads are the same as the non-MAX Syntronik downloads?

Here's why:

My internet line CRAWLS, so everything I d/l I have to consider my time commitment; which sound library is important and which is just auditory "fluff"?

That being said, I'm having the same problem as many others: I bought the Total Studio Max bundle and have been given a long list of other products to download from the website (the regular installer doesn't work for me — don't ask).

As a result, I downloaded some synths from the Syntronik 2 sounds folder as opposed to Syntronik 2 MAX folder. So now I'm wondering — do I have to re-download because maybe I have more presets or features in the MAX version?

I have to say, things could and should be a lot more clear for customers downloading these products. It shouldn't be like a treasure hunt in the dark. There is so much content and then to be offered redundant or pointless downloads that distract from the process is...well...you know...(something unpleasant with lots of consonants.)

That's exactly what it felt like. It's made worse by the fact that the packs have slightly different names, depending where you look (product PDF, product manager, website downloader...)

Luckily the sounds are amazing, but the experience of installing them was comically bad.
