ARC Studio 4 Analysis not hearing mic

Hey folks. I just picked up an ARC Studio and I'm having trouble getting the Analysis software to hear the microphone. The ARC app passes signal through just fine, and I can definitely hear the correction working. But the Analysis app just doesn't seem to receive signal and has me stuck on Step 3.

Full disclosure: I'm on a bit of an older computer, technically out of the recommended spec for the unit. I asked around before I bought it, and the consensus seemed that it's more of an OS issue than a hardware issue, so I figured I'd roll the dice and use OpenCore to update my Mac, and see if that works.

So is it actually the hardware, or am I missing something that will get the Analysis software working? I saw some people saying that it doesn't jive well if you have a webcam (with mic) connected, so I pulled that, to no avail.

So is it the old computer, or am I overlooking something? Thanks for your time.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the computer is a Mac Pro 5,1 with a pair of Intel 3.46GHz Xeons in it. I've run OpenCore on it and brought the OS up to Sonoma. My audio interface is an Audient EVO8.

Me too. I can see the signal is def going in and but nothing's registering in the analysis app....

Got mine sorted. Had to go into privacy & security settings on Mac and allow ARC 4 software access to microphone. All good now

Ah sorry I had missed the FAQ about this or I would have posted it before https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=1335

It is under ARC 4 which I get, since that is what you use as the analysis software but that is why I may have missed it and again sorry for that!

Yeah! This is super weird, but I don't think it prompted me to do this when I first installed the application...but it did just a moment ago when I had Privacy & Security Settings open while I launched ARC Analysis. I hit 'allow' and it seems now to be picking up signal from the mic. I'll have to confirm it works later but things look promising now. Thanks all!

Also cool to note, I guess I've been something of a guinea pig here because (as I said above) my machine is technically outside the recommended spec (it's super old). I can confirm the ARC software DOES work with an older Mac, as long as the OS is up to date. Cool!
