Tonex One to studio monitors

Postby Conny666 » Sun May 26, 2024 8:46 am

I have a couple of PreSonus Eris E5 studio monitors (active) with trs 6,3mm input, and i just bought a Tonex one pedal, so i connect with a Y-cabel 6,3 stereo from Tonex one to my monitors with 2x 6,3 mono. But the problem is that the input on my monitors is TRS (balanced). is that okay anyway or?

It will work, you'll get sound, but it's not at all ideal. You'll also have impedance mismatching. Do you not have an audio interface to plug into? You can get a decent interface for just $99. If you do have one, well then the monitors should be plugged to its outputs and then you use a single mono out from the ToneX to one of your interfaces inputs/channel
