iRig HD X not working on iPad Pro

My iRig HD X works with my iPhone 14 Pro in FX mode--i.e., I can send effected sounds from my phone to an external amp. It does NOT work with my iPad Pro. I can use the THRU setting, but the FX setting is silent.

Is this a known issue? Defective unit?

If that doesn't work I'd suggest opening a ticket with IK Support for direct and official technical assistance.
