No sound in Tonex app

I just want to plug my guitar into the tonex one pedal and use the app in windows via USB. I have no option for input(it's grayed out) I feel like this is a normal/advertised thing to do. When I talk(email) tech support it's the same old loop---have you tried this or that, maybe unplug it and start over--GRRRRRRR--- Windows 10---Focusrite 18i20-- Super frustrated and tired of typing, thanks for listening/reading.
