I'm trying to clean up some space on my mac. I run Amplitube 5. I have two large files that eat up almost 3 gb and I am not sure if I need them, or not, they are:
Amplitube 5.pak
Amplitube 5.app.pak
They both are in the folder Library/Application Support/IK Multimedia/Amplitube 5.
Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

Yes, you need them.
I'll guess that they may contain the gear models or IRs or GUIs.

I need clarification to this question: "Mac OS: what are the two large .pak files"
I'm trying to clean up my new MacBook Pro. I have Total Studio 3.5 MAX installed.
I noticed I have quite a few large .pak files located in: Library -> Application Support -> IK Multimedia. These files are grouped as ".app.pak" and ".pak" files. In total theses .pak files are using 13.6 GB of memory.
I have a cleaning tool that suggests these .pak files are "Unneeded service files left after deleting applications"
Are all these .pak files necessary OR are they OK to delete?
What do these .pak files actually do?
Please clarify and advise
Thank you
