Reduce T-Racks latency?

Postby Melissiah » Fri Nov 03, 2023 1:40 pm

Hi, I’m using Reaper in my live shows. 6 fabfilter fx per mic, helix native for guitar and bass, sample tank 4 for keyboard and superior drummer 3 for edrum.

It’s awesome the perfect Mix in every live situation with 3.9ms latency.

I tried to put T-Racks with the awesome preset « make it simple » in the master output. Oh my god, what a sound. Should be illegal to sound like this live. But it add unplayable latency.

Tried to add just one block in my vocal track and same latency problem.

The other plugins don’t have this problem. Any tips to fix this?

T-RackS is a mixing and mastering plugin suite. It will introduce some latency and for mixing and mastering this is not a problem since your DAW will have built in latency compensation. But for tracking and live use, you would not want to use mixing and mastering centric plugins as that is not the intended use thus they will not offer the near-zero-latency realtime performance you are seeking.
