No metronome option in Amplitube 5 LIVE Mode

I an using an Irig Stomp.. Just wondering why there is no metronome option in Amplitube 5 on LIVE mode.... There is an TAP with the bps, but that doesn't seem to do anything.. I know if I press the 4th button on the IRIG STOMP I can adjust a flashing light to a speed.. but why is there no option to turn on a metronome sound in Amp5 on Live mode.. Is it just that it might interfere with a LIVE Session?
