Switch on/off wah with AT5 and AXE I/O

I am used to Axe FX and Quad Cortex where the position of the expression pedal (e.g., full down or full off) can be used to switch the function on and off and still use the pedal as a wah at the same time. Is this not working with Amplitube 5? I am using the latest update through the Axe I/O. The wah function works but then I cannot switch it on/off as described. Am I overseeing something? thanks and sorry if this was already discussed elsewhere..
