using a wireless with axe i/o ? help with what one

so the axe is my studio desktop for when I am not using my tube amps or when I need to plug in to play or write and not fire up the big amps. That being said since I am in my desk chair I was thinking a wireless would make it easy for that. For real amps i dont use a wireless. Will a wireless like the Xvive U2 Digital Wireless Guitar System be good enough since I am only in the same room 1-10 feet away when playing ? or would you say a better wireless is a better investment ? See I would use a wireless with the real rig but I have real tone bender and fuzz pedals and I guess that wont work with my pedalboard using a wireless unless I am wrong. Let me know what you think and any suggestions, thanks.

The wireless hook up works just like an amp. I use a Line6 G50 with a Line6 TBP12 and it works even in the next room. Had to flip the channels to find the least busy but now it works great. Transmit power is set to 50 feet on the G50. The transmitter clips onto a strap for easiest use and no guitar mod.

Power , if you set it to 100 ft it uses 2 X the power and the transceiver is small and battery powered. 100 ft is a HUGE home , 50 ft will do for almost any domestic setting.

Yes , it is a straight up old school analog wireless bridge. I think I paid about 500$ for it when new but they are much , much cheaper now. Definitely small club gig grade. In Amplitube it's not the same of course. You only have one physical first. Amplitube covers the effects , maybe a wah , tuner or compressor might fit first in the chain.

The Line 6 G50 is a 12 channel transmitter that has a cable length simulator.
It is paired with the Line 6 TBP12 which is a 12 channel transceiver.
The transmitter plugs into the amp or USB Input 1 of your USB interface and the transceiver plugs into the guitar and then you match the channels.

I don't think you are understanding how they work together and that both parts are required.

If you have a pedal board then you plug the transmitter into the input of the chain. It will fairly accurately simulate a cable so you can use any pedal with it.

thanks but if you didnt have the TBP12 wouldnt the G50 transmitter work is what i am saying. Its seems you dont need the TBP12 to go wireless

What is wrong with you ? How can you use a transceiver with nothing to transmit to it ? The G50 and TBP12 are a matched set , you need both halves to work. You are suggesting the equivalent of talking to someone across town with only one cell phone between them.

Yeah it was confusing though and what you said I do understand but I wasnt sure. I figured when you buy a wireless it has each piece you need, thats why.

The Line6 wireless bridge used to be fairly high end when it was released and as such you would want each component separately sold in case one breaks. Transmitters are not nearly as expensive as the base for them. Make sure that you get one with enough channels if you will be playing more than one guitar at a time.
