I would say at this point, having done many captures of high gain amps - whether they are plugins or via hardware/reamp box, almost all of them result in needing a relatively strong gain trim increase (like halfway or all the way to max) and often then still need +4-6 dB boosts before the plugin in order to match my reference signals.
I've verified time and time again the gain staging - and this happens even when using the built in DI playback, eliminating my own input / di track levels from having an effect. Anyone else?
