Amplitube 5 max not seeing any midi using FL Studio

I’m trying route midi to the effects pedals like wah etc and there’s no midi seen by amplitube. When I try to assign it by learning it just hangs waiting for an input even though I’m twisting knobs and the inputs work as I’ve tested them on other operations outside amplitube. How do I fix this?
