Hi there - this is a fix for Windows users who would experience Tonex crashes when connected to Tone.net and attempting to scroll through the user posts. For me it would just shut.
I even did a unlisted youtube video to send to the support guys.
Anyway it works now and here's how to fix that!
Delete everything Tonex off your computer...
delete all these:
Local Disk>Program Files>IK Multimedia>Tonex folder
Local Disk>Program Files>Common Files>VST3>Tonex.vst3
Documents>IK Multimedia>Tonex folder
Restart your computer
Reinstall Tonex from the IK Program manager
(it might not hurt to then restart your computer again)
Viola!
I was able to (albeit gingerly) scroll in then Tonex collections, once connected to Tone.net and no crash.
So I hope that this helps somebody out!
I'm now looking for the the App release. I will do a review between my Fractal Audio Fm3 amps and the Tonex amps. IMO opinion, the Tonex Black Angus Marshall achieves that upper mid vocal tone that the FAS does not have. However, before I go fully IKMultimedia, we'll need some sort of preset changing framework as I read that the Tonex app is incompatible with Amplitube 5. We'll need to change and add effects to these patches. This should be available for use in the iRig stomp, with an Blueboard and an iRig output and nifty enough that it will run on most ipads.
