There are two things that can go wrong:
1. If you are using the standalone Amplitube software, go into the recording session mode (there is a button at the bottom of the screen that takes you there, it looks like a bunch of lines) and adjust the balance on input 1. For whatever reason when you set up a stereo path, it's not obvious at all that you also have to change it in the recording session as well. This really tripped me up at first.
2. If you are using the VST plug in, then there appears to be a bug (at least in my experience of using the plug in with Ableton). If I open a session with a stereo plug in at first only one channel will sound. You have to open the plugin (I am using ableton) and click on both amps, then suddenly both channels come to stereo life as they should. This is very annoying.
I've lost hope in hearing anything back from amplitube support, so I am not expecting this to be fixed, but at least there is a workaround.
