Amplitube 5 - VHandcraft 4: What is the bright switch doing?

Postby machinated » Sun Oct 30, 2022 1:55 pm

After consulting the manual and not seeing any mention of this, any word on what the bright switch is actually doing to the circuit?

The real VH4 has bright switches on channel 1 and channel 2. The IK model has a switch for all channels. All I can tell is it doesn't act like a traditional bright cap. I'll assume on channels one and two its based on the switch on the amplifier, but what exactly is going on for channel 3 and 4? is it a modded version?

Can this information be added to the manual?

Honestly? This bright switch sounds broken to me. It doesn't sound like the real VH4, I have one sat right next to me and the models bright switch does not sound like the amp.

Also it isn't realistic to allow it for channel 3 and 4, and honestly, it makes those channels sound horrible in the software.

IMHO.
