Weird Metallic Sound.

Postby Phototurtle » Tue Aug 23, 2022 2:25 am

Hello Everyone.

I use Amplitube 5 with Irig hd2 plugged into my windows laptop, using windows 10.

When I start playing electric guitar, it starts out fine and the sound is very clear and clean, but eventually the sound turns to a weird metallic/robot sound. You can still hear what I'm playing, but it's overwhelming. Sometimes it will clear up, but other times, i have to unplug everything and restart Amplitube. But then it just does it all over again eventually.

It doesn't matter what setup I'm using either. Rock, Clean, whatever.

Has anyone experienced this and found a solution or a cause?

Thank you all in advance for your input!

It sounds a little like your computer processor is coming under pressure. How fast have you set the buffer and what type of processor is in your laptop? Maybe try increasing the buffer size in the audio settings?
