My sense is, "no" -- or, at least, "not to the extent that you can control parameters on the digital models of gear in AmpliTube".

Well, this video suggests there is a lot more flexibility in controling a Tone Model than I had thought: https://youtu.be/Ns2ui4ps7NI. I presume this is some sort of post-Tone-Model EQ being applied to the output; the "Blend" knob suggests you can mix an EQ'd signal with a non-EQ'd signal.

That Gain control is more than EQ nor simple at all, pretty flexible/interactive :)

Yeah, I had rememberd that a Gain control was shown as available in some of the the capture/creation process videos, but I do wonder how that works on the Tone Models (once captured). I suppose this somehow part of the the magic of the test tones and AI stuff used in the capture/creation process.

It is shown in the TONEX Player video on a model already captured.

You must send our direct signal so you cannot capture an isolated guitar track.

I'd quite like to see a video of capturing a Tone Model of a pedal/stomp even though I presume the process is effectively identical to that of capturing an amp or amp+cab. :ugeek:

Posted sooner than I expected! Hear the results of the Dumble capture from the last video, the Tone Models played over the theme and A/B'd with the real amp.

Wow, I've pretty blown away by the Dumble. In fact, I have a picture of myself with that exact Dumble that you guys have. My local guitar shop was selling it last year, so I'm super glad you guys were able to purchase it! I do have one question though. I saw that AI modeling is able separate the amp and cab, so with the Dumble, I'm able to use a Celestion G12-65 IR or one of the VIR cabs, right? I mean how did you guys do that without actually modeling (capturing) each separately (amp and cab)?

Yes through the magic of AI Machine Modeling you can separate any amp & cab Tone Models so you can substitute VIR or your own IRs right inside TONEX. :)

Though the Dumble does have a line out as well if I recall but when I played it (I got to play the real amp, and we still own it) I wasn't looking at the goesintahs-and-goesouttas to be honest.

Will the Tonex models work inside of Presonus Studio One Pro like the Amplitube models do ? Do you even need Amplitube to run Tonex ?

You can run AmpliTube TONEX models in either TONEX or AmpliTube 5, both having standalone and plugin versions that will run in your DAW.

Hi Peter,
I have another question, in the video for the capturing the Dumble, I noticed an attenuator was used to capture the tone. I'm assuming the ToneX Capture may have been used? If so, are all the ToneX tones captured that way? That is to say using an attenuator for amp (the ToneX Capture) and the cab using mics? Honestly, I prefer an attenuator as it'll yield a greater accuracy of tone and the mics basically capturing an "IR" of the cab.
