Keys I/O 49 and Logic - Control Surface Issues

macOS Mojave 10.14.6
Logic Pro X 10.5.1
iRig Keys I/O 49 (proprietary cable -> USB 2.0)
Firmware Version: Most recent
Previous Support Ticket #7613071 (did not provide a solution, May 2021)

Issue: Since the most recent firmware version, my keyboard is not functioning in Logic Pro X. I've noticed that when I first load Logic, a control surface is automatically inserted into Logic. When I disable all control surfaces, the keyboard partially works (key, pitch, mod, oct and transport keys). However, my other control surfaces are also disabled so this is not a viable workaround.

In my troubleshooting steps, I've completely deleted all control surfaces in Logic and started a blank project with only a new software instrument track. Again, the keyboard automatically loads a new control surface into Logic at startup and renders the keyboard inoperable. Also again, when I disable the control surface, the keyboard partially works.

The default control surface in the keyboard firmware obviously has a bug somewhere, but I'm not sure which setting in the control surface needs correcting.

I changed the midi channel to two in the keyboard directly. That seems to have partially resolved my issue. I suspect there was a midi channel conflict somewhere.

I'm going to have to try this tonight.
I'm using the rig keys I/0 25 with iOS.
Midi learn works like a charm for everything EXCEPT the transport buttons. specifically I'm mapping to Koala Sampler, not logic... so related, but not exactly the same.

Were you able to run the latest Firmware updater "iRig Keys I/O Firmware Updater (v.1.0.11) Ver. 1.0.10 Released on 2020-04-30"? I just unpacked my unit and cannot get the control surface features to work at all with GarageBand (macOS 12.4 M1 Chip), also the firmware updater fails at 5% as per this thread viewtopic.php?f=9&t=28246&start=30

Were you able to find a solution for this?. I am having a similar problem with a laptop and my iRig Keys 49 I/O: it does not update and stops working after a while, needing a reconnection
