Using Amp Out and Line Out as Monitor outs

Hi there, I'm just a new happy owner of an AXE I/O.

I'd like to know if I can use the Lines Out (Unbalanced) to plug an Audient Nero (Desktop Monitoring Controller) using a Balanced or Unbalanced cable? it will be very short like 1mt not more.

Also I plugged my Auratone to the Amp Out with an XLR to TRS cable it works fine (I reduced -6db from the back of the Auratone) and I don't ear any noise from the speaker to the maximum volume, am I good to go? or should I revise the cabling?

Well, I just want to know if it's fine to plug a balanced monitor with a balanced cable to an unbalanced out.

Same for the Line outs (unbalanced) to an Audient Nero Balanced IN.

From my testing it works but I'd like to avoid audio degradation.
