Using iRig 2 with UG app to playalong

Hi there
I just bought an iRig 2 and wanted to us it this way:
Having connected it to my iPhone I wanted to record on my phone the sound of my guitar while a song is played on the Ultimate Guitar app. When I start the amplitube app I can hear the sound of my guitar on the earphones. But as soon as I switch to the ultimate guitar app I can’t hear my guitar anymore. Can someone help me probably? That would be great..

The earphones are plugged into the earphone slot on the iRig 2 and the "amp-slot" isn't attached.

settings > background audio
Set to true?

Yes, in the app, on the bottom right (you might have to wipe the bottom options to the furthest right) open the menu > settings > Background Audio and set this to ON
