Update and upgrade are two different things.
Are you looking to "update" a version of the software to the next increment i.e. AT 4.5.1 to version 4.6? If so, then Peter's response is how you should do this.
If you want to "upgrade" from say AT3 to AT4, then this is a completely separate piece of software which needs to be downloaded and installed from fresh.
