Mac won't recognize AXE I/O Solo

Postby ozanozan » Wed Feb 23, 2022 10:43 am

Hello,

I purchased a new Axe I/O Solo and plugged it on my USB hub on my Mac (USB-C converter). That's exactly the same port I've been using my 200 years old M-audio fast track pro with no problems at all. However mac doesn't recognize AXE I/O solo and it is nowhere to be found as a sound interface.

It is super frustrating as I was using a very old sound interface until yesterday and today with a brand new Axe IO solo nothing works.

Anyone experienced something similar before?

MacBook Air (M1, 2020)

Thanks

Hello ozanozan

Have you tried plugging in the Axe IO Solo direct to the Mac rather than going via a hub? This might at least show it is a hardware problem with the interface, rather than the hub being a problem.

Alternatively, as this is a user-to-user forum and not direct to IKM support, in case no one else chimes in here with advice or a solution the best thing to do is check the FAQs, via https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-su ... ck=QUICKSW

If these do not resolve the issue, there is a link to the Technical Support form at the top of the Search FAQs page, for direct help from Official IK Support. They endeavour to reply within 2 working days, but obviously considering the current situation things may take longer than usual.

And, to help others who run into a similar problem, please let us know what you did to resolve the issues, but without directly quoting any correspondence from official support.

Had the same issue on a newly purchased OWC hub. I had to go directly into the MAC to get it to work

thanks for your messages.

Without the hub my AXE IO SOLO works on an old macbook air with USB 2.0 socket. However my mac only has USB-C.

The hub I was using was USB-C to USB 3.0. Axe IO solo only has a USB 2.O output. I purchased another hub, USB-C to USB 2.O this time, and it works.

Weird, huh?
