Cant see amp settings in GarageBand AmpliTube 5

I am running Mac m1 with Big Sur 11.6
When I run Amplitube 5 as plugin in GarageBand it connects to the default amp and I hear it but I do not get the AmpliTube window where I can select and edit amp etc... I get a GarageBand parameter window that does not do anything. I hear the default amp sound but I cannot edit it or see the amplitube window. I am not sure if this is a user error or plugin issue

Make sure View ->Show Smart Controls is selected, then click on the AmpliTube track. The track plugins should be displayed at the bottom of the window, and AmpliTube 5 should be listed. Click on that.

I believe you had the same problem as me. The amp window does not show up. Click on GarageBand and then settings. Under Accessibility uncheck open plugins in control view by default. Took me forever to figure out
