Simple Bass Slide

Postby ronniez28 » Sat Aug 14, 2021 10:16 pm

Holy Cow, am I confused!!!
Does anyone know how to do a super simple bass slide in Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio? I'm just trying to slide from fretted A on the forth string to fretted F on the forth string. I still don't understand the whole CC# thing. Everything I try sounds totally messed up.
Thanks To All!!!

Hi Ronniez28

You don't really need to get involved with CC# as slides are controlled by the pitch wheel.

In MODO Bass, go to the Control tab and at the top you'll see a knob marked Slide Range. This indicates the number of semitones that the pitch wheel will control. Turn that until the number 4 appears (A1 down to F1 = 4 semitones or two tones)

On your MIDI keyboard, play A1 and then pull the pitch wheel down and it should slide down to F1. When you record your bass line into Mixcraft it will record the pitch wheel information as well and playback the slide.

Let us know if this works.
