SampleTank Assigning midi channel

In Sampletank when you first go in and not in the Live Mode
How do you assign a midi channel?
I can assign them in Live Mode

Just checking to see if anyone had an answer to assigning a midi channel when not in Live Mode?

This is covered in section 3.4 - MIDI Channel of the SampleTank 4 User Manual. You need to click and drag the MIDI channel value you see in the Parts View.

Sorry I forgot to add that I am using Sampletank on my ipad, is there still a way to assign a midi channel when not in Live Mode.

When using SampleTank on my ipad, I would like to play the upright bass outside of the Live Mode and assign the upright bass to channel 2, is that possible?
What mode am I in when not in Live Mode, is it Song mode?

Would it be feasible to attach the upright bass to channel 2 in SampleTank for iPad so I can play it outside of Live Mode?
When I'm not in Live Mode, what mode am I in? Is it Song mode?
