Using iRig Acoustic Stage with AT5

Just wondering if anyone uses the Acoustic Stage with AT5 and if anyone has any tips. Especially when I'm connecting the AS direct via USB it doesn't sound very good... lots of noise in particular. I do bypass both the amp and cabinet stage because as I understand it, the AS isn't meant to be used with those. I'm probably doing something wrong, just wish I knew what it was! Thanks.
