Plugin installed, but not recognized [Resolved]

Hi, I have an older standalone plugin "TrackS 3 Black 76.dll" that I have moved to a new computer. It is properly installed, authorized and the dates, version, name, etc are exactly the same. I can load it as a new plugin on a project but my previous projects say it can't find it when they load....They find all of them except this one. The only difference is that it is showing "0" as the VST identifier, where the last computer has a ten digit VST identifier assigned. I am using the same version of Sonar.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this? Any help would be much appreciated.

That sounds more like a Sonar issue to me.

You mentioned a different VST Id. That might be the cause of the problem your previous projects may also contain the VST Id, which is then checked before loading the plug-in. Where are you seeing that number?

You may be right that it is a Sonar issue. In the Sonar plugin manager, you can select the plugin and it shows you a VST ID. I'll check around the Sonar forums as well.

Just a guess - could the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the plug-in have different Ids?

Hi DarkStar,

I did manage to get it working. I reinstalled this plugin and re-scanned all the VSTs again. Presto, it is now recognized by the old projects. Thanks for your help.
