Transfer instrument selections ST3-ST4

In Sonar I have many older projects that use ST3. Is there a way to have ST4 (assuming ST3 sounds are installed) to have it use those sounds?

All I have been able to do is replace the VST (ST3 with ST4) but ST4 opens with no instruments selected and I need to go through the process of re-selecting all the used instruments used in the project, sometimes up to 7-9 are used.

So, yeah, is there any solution to this?

I'm afraid this is how ST3 and 4 are set up to work. ST4 will not open in place of ST3, so you will need to manually instantiate and open the sound presets.

Try this:
-- open your project using ST3,
-- save the ST3 loaded instruments as a Multi,
-- load ST4 alongside ST3,
-- add the ST3 library path to ST4's Settings / Sound Content.
-- load that ST3 Multi in ST4.
-- remove ST3,
-- save the project with a different name, so that you still have the old ST3 one.

But - it may sound slightly different, at least it does here.
