Upgrading from AT4 to AT5 [Resolved]

Postby Billy86 » Thu Feb 04, 2021 12:41 am

Want to make sure I understand something. I have 5 collections in my AT4: Ampeg SVX, Fender Collection, Slash, Jimi, Brian May.

The AT 5 SE and regular AT5 versions state on the web description: Upgrades previously purchased gear. Does this mean my AT4 Collections will be upgraded to versions that take full advantage of all the new AT5 capabilities?

While AT5 CS "unlocks previously purchased gear," which means the AT4 collections won't be able to take advantage of the AT5 engine because they stay the old AT4 versions?

Thanks.

Yes, AmpliTube 5 SE/5/MAX will upgrade your current collections with the new technology (especially the new cabinets/VIR™ technology) while the free CS will not.

I’ve been working with IK Support on my issue of missing gear in the Hendrix and Fender 1 collections I own but went AWOL when I moved from AT4to AT5. They said there have been some issues like mine they’re aware of and said an update to AT5 next week should solve.

Wanted to follow up on this issue. The recent update to AT5 did take care of my issues, so I can now load in all the presets I'd been missing when I upgraded from AT4 to 5. Yay! Thanks, IK.
