[RESOLVED] Amplitube 5 AU not register in Logic Pro X

I cannot get AmpliTube 5 to register in Logic Pro X 10.6.1 using MacOS 10.15.7. It is not available for selection as a plugin and further inspection via the Preferences->Plugin Manager in Logic reveals that the AU crashed and cannot be registered. Rebooting and scanning the AU again reveals the following messages:

As this is a user-to-user forum and not direct to IKM support, in case no one else chimes in here with advice or a solution the best thing to do is check the FAQs, via https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-su ... ck=QUICKSW

If these do not resolve the issue, there is a link to the Technical Support form, for direct help from Official IK Support. They endeavour to reply within 2 working days, but obviously considering the current situation things may take longer than usual.

It would be beneficial to include the AU validation report to help them pinpoint the problem.

And, to help others who run into a similar problem, please let us know what you did to resolve the issues, but without directly quoting any correspondence from official support.

It went away after I updated some Amplitube 5 custom shop binaries in that "my products area" associated with your id after logged on to their website.
It suddenly went away and started working. Try it and see if it works for you.

make sure you do a full macos reboot as well.

I have the same problem and tried the helpdesk.The final answer was:If the problem persist, please provide your AU Validation report for Logic Pro X.Did anyone contact apple on this?
In Garageband it will open though.
Maybe there is a solution already for this issue.Please let me know.

Hello Nike and welcome to the forums.

If Official IK Support has asked you to provide the AU Validation Report you will need to do that in a reply to their last correspondence with you. They will not see it posted here.

Hallo Nick,

support was very helpful but we were not able to identify the cause of this problem. After much mail and answers, and actions to be taken, I figured maybe an OS update would do the trick. Even that was not a solution.

In the end I did a clean (re)install and reformat of my drive. It took me the better part of a weekend, but worked out fine. No I'm 100% one. Still very anxious every time I open Amplitube though.
