AmpliTube does not recognize Focusrite ASIO

Postby mtherrington » Sat Oct 24, 2020 5:23 pm

[Mod Note - moved to appropriate forum]

I am trying to set up AmpliTube with my 2nd gen Scarlett Solo.

I have the Focusrite ASIO drivers installed, v4.65.5. I have AmpliTube v4.10.0 installed.

I have speakers plugged in to the back of the Scarlett, so it is my device for both input and output.

In Amplitube, I get sound if I select 'Windows Audio (Exclusive Mode)' or 'DirectSound,' but there is a lot of latency and it sounds garbled.

If I select ASIO, AmpliTube recognizes 'Focusrite USB ASIO.' However, I do not get an input. The levels do not change - AmpliTube is not hearing anything at all. Nothing changes when I mess with Sample Rate or Buffer Size.

What do I need to adjust in order to use AmpliTube?

Hi mtherrington and welcome to the forums.

The instrument input on the Scarlett Solo is channel 2. In the Audio MIDI setup in AT4 make sure that Channel 2 is selected as the Left Channel.

Hope that helps. Let us know how you get on.

Thank you for the response. Yes, I was aware that channel 2 was the instrument input and I had made sure to select it in AmpliTube.

Hmm, do you have any other software such as a DAW that you can check that input with, just to rule out a hardware problem?
