Amplitube, iPhone 8 Plus and AirPods pro

Postby gl.hoyle » Thu Sep 24, 2020 2:36 pm

Sorry if this has already been done to death but I have an iPhone 8 Plus which has no ear phone socket so I use AirPods Pro to listen to stuff on the device. However. AmpliTube doesn't seem to want to let me do that ! It bypasses the AirPods somehow and uses the phones internal speakers instead. Really annoying as it makes the App a bit pointless if I can't direct the output to something useful i.e. AirPods, headphones or something else. Anyone know if there is anything to be done to fix this problem?

AmpliTube, like other realtime audio production apps, will not output to wireless headphones as there will always be a delay in hearing the signal which makes something like playing guitar in real time an unpleasant experience. The best most playable performance will be achieved using a proper audio interface like iRig HD 2 via headphones or sending the audio interface output to monitors/speakers.
