ST4 software (minus samples) available free?[Resolved]

I just grabbed a nicely priced copy of SampleTank 3, and should be able to run it since I've not upgraded to MacOS High Sierra+ (which includes Catalina). However, I may have to upgrade MacOS at some point.

Question: Does IK provide the SampleTank 4 software, empty - minus samples - free of charge to allow customers to import and use their legacy products?

EDIT: I found the free ST4 Custom Shop version. Does this allow the import of ST3 instruments with full features?

Yes and you don't even have to import anything. You need to add in the pathway to your main SampleTank 3 content folder in Settings>Sound Content in ST4 and if it doesn't rebuild the database automatically, just click Rescan All.

Obviously people have different hardware in their systems, but I have SampleTank 3 working perfectly under macOS 10.14.6 (Mojave). YMMV

But the fact that I can use my ST3 samples with ST4 (even the free Custom Shop version) should do it for me. Appreciate the reply!

Catalina has been a bit of a show stopper for some, but then all new software is to a certain extent - you can't hope to get it running on everyone's system first time, not even with thorough beta testing.

Anyway, glad you're sorted.
