ASIO4ALL is a third party driver. You'd want to use the ASIO driver by IK where available.

For what interface? We just released an ASIO driver for our iRig interfaces and we've had an ASIO driver for AXE I/O since its release.

The ASIO driver is not for iRig UA but iRig HD 2 is compatible. Please see this FAQ for full information: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/?id=1340

Per the Specs page at https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/i ... hp?p=specs

Windows®: Fully supports Windows 10 WASAPI for low latency audio. One free USB port. (ASIO4ALL is required on Windows 7 and 8 for low latency audio. See our FAQ here for further details.) A Micro USB to USB cable (available separately) is required.

Honestly I'm not quite sure as I have barely ever used WASAPI. I believe that in theory it is considered better but either should work as well. ASIO4ALL's interface allows for tweaking and such, though.

We have this FAQ about using ASIO4ALL with our interfaces: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=1076

I don't use WASAPI so I don't know. You may want to try ASIO4ALL first and if you feel WASAPI may help you the support team would likely have more information.

I've had very poor results using Amplitube with ASIO4ALL and Irig UA on a laptop, it worked fine on my desktop but on a laptop (Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, Intel i7 8Gb) the sound drops for a few seconds every couple of minutes making it unusable, even with the sample rate set to 64bit. I assumed the laptop just couldn't handle it though CPU and memory usage was fine but when I used a Focusrite Scarlett instead it worked perfectly even at higher sampler rates.
