Getting a Windows Defender error when trying to install AmpliTube 4.1.9B.
This is a clean install. Is the software not signed?

I am sorry to hear about the problems you are running into.

As this is primarily a user to user forum, someone-else may chime in [#]. Meanwhile, the best thing to do is raise a Support Ticket, here for some one to one investigation and help (US (East Coast) Business hours, generally). Response time is usually within 2 working days, but in the current circumstances please cut them some slack.

Windows can be overzealous sometimes , and block perfectly good programs from running. This has happened to me with other companie's software installers as well.

Just select run anyway, as we know that IKM's installers are not malware.

As always, use caution with programs that you don't know the origin.

I just next-ed through the windows defender prompt, and it seems to be working fine. (as suggested!)
