Is it possible that the iRig 2 HD headphone output driving a line-in could destroy home hifi equipment, or is this pretty safe? I figure people probably use it with monitors all the time, right?

People typically send the headphone output to either headphones or a powered speaker so there shouldn't be much risk if any at all as long as you're able to normally send a headphone output to your hifi.

Sounds great through headphones, but terrible through my 79 dollar logitech 2.1 speakers. What did I expect!? It's interesting that music and movies sound great there, but not the guitar. I'm sort of torn between getting better monitors and just getting a real amp. Almost sounds like bad resonant frequencies through the speakers, like the A string is a lot louder than everything else. Weird.
