Electric Drums, Recording Audio and Midi Simultaneously

Postby peteroyle » Sun Apr 12, 2020 12:40 am

Hi,

The Master Out from the electric drum kit is apparently +4db which afaict should work with the various iRigs which are compatible with line-level instruments. Please correct me if I’m wrong already.

The kit also has Midi Out.

My main query is: is it possible to record both audio and Midi to Amplitube/GarageBand on an iPad? If so, would a single iRig Pro I/O allow that (given it has both an audio and a Midi in), or would an iRig Pro Duo I/O be necessary (because only one input is usable per “channel”)?

Cheers!

In case it’s more relevant, the Output Impedance from the kit’s manual is specified as 1.0 k ohms.
