Hi -
I'm a novice guitar player. I have a play-tone cable that I use to play my guitar through my computer. Is there a free version of AmpliTube (or something similar) that will let me do this? As a novice, I just want something simple to listen to guitar through headphones while I do my lessons. Thanks.

Yes, it the AmpliTube Custom Shop (v4.9.1 currently) that you will find in your IK Multimedia Account / User Area / My products.
The installer installs three software products
-- AmpliTube ("AT4") standalone program and plug-in(s),
-- the IK Multimedia Authorisation Manager
-- the IK Multimedia Custom Shop.
Install all three, authorize AmpliTube using the Serial number from your User Area, in the Authorization Manager. Then you are good to go.
The free edition of AmpliTube has 24 gear models and you can try out many others for 48 (?) hours by selecting them in the Custom Shop. The AT4 User Guide explains how.
