I came across the issue with model training on Windows 11 yesterday and I just wanted to share what the issue was and how I resolved it.

After the training capture completed in Tonex, the next step to start training would fail after 15-20 seconds of wait time with an error containing this text:

... Traceback is disabled via bootloader option

I won't waste time with the unnecessary details, but I can say that the issue was due to Microsoft OneDrive. Based on a comment in this thread, I discovered that my IK Multimedia\TONEX\Modeling folder was being stored under \Users\mynamehere\OneDrive and was also marked to be stored in "the cloud" (someone else's computer). Of course I tried uninstalling OneDrive (which I do not recommend even though it's the most sh*t software I've ever encountered), but that didn't work and I lost some files - yay.

To fix this nonsense, I had to:

  • Find my IK Multimedia directory
  • Right click and choose "Always keep on this device"
  • Wait forever for OneDrive to "sync"
  • Re-capture then train in Tonex

After all this it finally is working for me now. Hope this helps anyone experiencing the class F software SNAFU regarding Tonex and OneDrive. I can't really fault IK for this since I discovered that the majority of people seem to absolutely hate Microsoft for sneaking that one in.

Just started to capture my amps inside of Tonex but I'm getting a strange error. The capture seems to work fine but when I enter the model training phase I get this error. I'm not very good at computers so I can't figure out what the problem might be.
I recently updated the Tonex software, running Windows 10.
Has anyone encountered the same problem?
Down below is the error message in text:

Failed to execute script "TXMMEngine" due to unhandled exception: cudaGetDevice failed. Status initialization error
Traceback is disabled via bootloader option.

Faced with a similar issue. Difference is that mine says

Failed to execute script "TXMMEngine" due to unhandled exception: 'charmap' codec can't encode characters in position 43-44: character maps to <undefined>

Was really excited to try capture plugins, tailored to my liking and maybe even use it in my rig. Tried some recommendations made on the thread, but the issue persists. Hope I can get some help.

Also, I've submitted a ticket to support. Would be cool if anybody figured this out already
