IK Product Manager keeps stopping download

Hello,
The IK product manager stops the ongoing download after an indefinite period of time; by clicking on the pause button the download continues until the end of the part zip file. This is unreasonable for extensive libraries like Pianoverse, because with 14 parts you have to reactivate the interrupted download 14 times. And that with 3-4 instruments. Then you no longer feel like it. Luckily I only bought a monthly subscription to test it. What could be the reason? This is the first product downloader that doesn't work properly.

I bought SampleTank MAX and it's happening to me too. I had my computer running for two nights and when I look at it in the morning the download is paused. Really disappointing. I wonder if this is done on purpose to sell USB sticks.

An alternative download option via the online account in the web browser would be a sensible solution. I tried all the options as stated by support, including deactivating the ransom protection for the IK Product Manager, unfortunately without success.

You can download from My Products in your IK User Area on the IK web site, too. If you don't find them there or if you continue to have issues just let support know their suggestions didn't work and they will continue to assist you.

Thank you for the tip, but I only have a Pianoverse subscription and there is no download option for my products, not even for My Subscription

Our software doesn't alter this file but if you feel comfortable with system files (on either Windows or macOS), you may want to make sure there are no entries with regard to IK Multimedia domains in your HOSTS file.

I wouldn't touch anything there unless there are entries for domains that are related to IK Multimedia as we do not put any entries in that file. If you are not comfortable/savvy to do this I'd wait for more advice from IK Support.

had same experience with sampletank MAX, I made it but not looking forward to it again. But it was worth it

Workaround: Try using the OP Auto Clicker off the Microsoft download site to refresh the download on the Product Manager. (i.e. hit the 'pause/resume' button). It's intuitive/anyone can figure it out in five mins. Make sure it's set for the interval of minutes in which you want it to refresh. Make sure it's the window at the top of the screen when you set it to work automatically and that nothing else will pop up over it (or it won't work - its 'clicking' what's in the window at the top/forefront of the screen at the location you designate). If the clicking function does not work, try opening as administrator. Good luck!

Having a similar issue on OSX downloading the Miroslav Philharmonic.

It stops downloading after each .dmg and I have to force-quit to get it started again.

And it's not because it is unpacking the samples.

I am on Sonoma MacStudio M2 Promax

I am experiencing the same issue. Workaround has been to download the files from User Area (My Products) page and install them one at a time. Reminds me of the old days.

Hi,

Over the last couple of days, I have had multiple issues with the IKPM when trying to install/re-install SampleTank 4 Max over SampleTank 4. Typically, the downloads halt and have to be paused/restarted as mentioned above. If I try to cancel a download, a popup window says a download is in progress, click OK/Cancel. Clicking OK or Cancel does not close the program. IKPM has to be forcibly stopped.

Today after a reboot, on the IKPM sounds tab - SampleTank 4 MAX is just stuck at "Please Wait.." for the last couple of hours. Again, I can't close the program.

I have submitted a support request. In the meantime, I'm going to download the ST4 Max sound files from the "My Products" area. Even there, I'm seeing failed downloads if I try multiple downloads at once.

I did try running IKPM as administrator on Windows 10. Multiple reboots. Reset router/gateway, etc. I'm convinced it's a network issue. I used IKPM to update ToneX and Amplitube 5 about a week ago and had no problems. Actually, I have multiple IK products and libraries acquired over several years, this is the first time I've had any major issues with the product manager.

I'm having the same issue here with IK Product Manager! Randomly stops the download and after 30% get stuck on "please wait". Trying to download Sampletank 4 MAX and tweak things for 5 days straight. Such a frustrating experience :cry:

I'm not going to download over 130 files on their website and install them manually. That's nuts at this day and age.

I've submitted a support request as well. If they do not resolve my issues, I'll ask a refund!
