How Long Do I Have Left To Carry On

Hi All,

Great to have the forum back. Here is a song that my brother wrote and we are both very proud to have our dad (in his 80s :sign_of_the_horns: ) play drums on it. Guitars are either Amplitude or Tonex.

Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

Side note, I’m the one in the back

Dan

Hey Dan, just listened, really beautiful track!
There’s a very honest and emotional feel in this song, and the dynamics breathe really nicely throughout. It fits the title perfectly. Keep going!

danwilson5,

Thank you for the review! Now your song: I am not sure why, though I was surprised this is a country song. Anyway, it all sounds very professional to me! Very good job! I don’t listen to much country music, but wouldn’t be surprised if it got radio play. Maybe I will hear it at a Cracker Barrel restaurant in the USA!

Hi Aaronaardvark,

Thank you for the kind words. My brother and I don’t really play Country, it’s just where the inspiration took us. Normally it’s rock, the next one is back in the rock vain all be it rock ballad territory.

Dan

Hey Dan,

Glad to see you back on this forum and this is a wonderful track to kick off with! The pedal steel and fiddle are so tastefully blended in the mix - kudos to Cale and Tom. The song checks all the boxes and must be great to get your Dad behind the kit again! I also enjoy the lyrics and glad to see you’ve become a ā€œBelieberā€ with Nashville. Absolutely great, gents!!!

Michael

Hey Michael,

Glad to see you back as well. Time to inspire us with more Cottage Sessions.

Dan

Hi Dan,

Thanks for letting me know the forum was back up and running. It’s great to be back here with you and Kelly at the new forum and am really looking forward to getting back in the saddle with it all.

Take care bro (you handsome bastard).

Cheers, CS.
