iRig HD X and iOS on iPhone

Postby diegomazza » Wed May 29, 2024 5:50 pm

Hello everyone, I have this problem that I hope you can help me solve. I just purchased irig hd x and also purchased the full amplitube app on app store. Connecting irig hd x to the iphone (I have tried 3 types of iphone: 15, 15 pro and 11) the signal in both the amp output and headphones, only comes out if the FX/THU switch is on THU obviously making the natural guitar signal come out., As soon as I set the switch to FX, everything goes silent. What can I check? Thank you.

Make sure the volume on your iOS device is turned up.

Hey Diego I’m having the same issue… it just won’t work on my iPhone 15 pro max but it works great on my son’s iPad… so I’m using that for now… must be a compatibility issue… idk, haven’t found a solution yet.

And yes… I turned up the volume on both devices, several times and on different occasions.

iRig HD X is compatible with iPhone 15, per the Specs page: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/i ... hp?p=specs

Also compatible with all newer iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models.

I'd recommend opening at ticket with IK Support via https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/hw if you have not already done so.

Great. I know you already covered the device volume but if you haven't checked this FAQ for a couple of other suggestions you might want to while you wait for IK Support to reply: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=1458

Thanks!

I’ve watched all the YT videos, read the FAQs and to be honest, there’s not much left I can do… there’s no menu or settings to tweak and try out on the app (I’m using AmpliTube) or on the device, the controls are super simple…

But maybe it’s something on the phone’s configuration… or a software issue… because as soon a I get to unplug and switch to iPad… it starts working perfectly, and it sounds amazing.
