Tonex pedal sounding out of phase?

Postby Opiateofthemasses86 » Mon May 06, 2024 1:46 pm

So out of nowhere my Tonex pedal started sounding REALLY out of phase whenever I try playing it with my amps...never had an issue before, and nothing else has changed that I can find. This is straight through my interfaces monitoring program, AND through recording software by the way.
I tried messing with phase switches on my splitter but it didn't do anything.
I checked if reverb was on and maxed out, and it wasn't...
I swapped cables
I tried multiple amp models to see if it was just something weird with just one of them...it's not.

The weird thing is when I use the tonex plugin instead of the pedal, everything sounds great and normal.

Does this ring any bells for anyone? Thank you!

It does but it depends on your setup !

The ToneX Pedals can't turn off their own monitoring. You may be hearing in the ToneX output your actual pedal tone AND your monitoring from your software. Try recording in your software with the monitoring turned off ?

I'm not sure if I got your problem right but this is definitely one use case where you would get an out of phase tone.
