cant find axe I/O on MacOS Monterey

As stated above i can seem to update my axe io as it cant find it when plugged in. The computer is recognizing it however as it does come up with axe in the sound preferences.
Does anyone have a solution to this??? :(

to make it a bit clearer its the updating app that cant see the interface.
