amp out on axe io

im totally out of my depth with this.ok ive got axe io and ive got amp out lead to my line 6 amp guitar socket.
can i get the sound of the line 6 amp to record in logic x???
ive seen the ik video and that doesnt help me.
in axe io control panel i have mirror on and amp out on in orange.
when i record amp sound its clean and not distorted as i want it.help would be appreciated.im a novice so not sure what im doing

Below are some past posts that may help:

when in amplitube 4 I get a clean tone through the amp but no emulation sounds.

I assume you are in the standalone version of Amplitube 4 and you are trying to get sound to come out of a "real" physical amp?

Settings page with AMP OUT sending the signal from AmpliTube into your amplifier.



Important: In the AXE I/O control panel you can send your inputs directly to the re-amp out. Make sure this is not enabled. This will be a dry unprocessed signal.
