Irig Acoustic Stage + Electric Guitar/bass ??? Any?

Hello people.

I'm wondering if the Irig Acoustic Stage can be used like a regular Irig HD.
Let me explain: If I only use the AUX input on the Irig Ac St with my electric guitar and dialing the mix knob all the way to AUX. Will it work with my Ipad Amplitube??
If it is possible, does the onboard presets affect the tone of the guitar/bass???

Technically, this would work, but this is not exactly the design for the AUX input, so we cannot guarantee your results. The AUX input would not be affected by the controls on the iRig Acoustic Stage like the MEMS microphone input would be. The AUX input is designed for Piezo pick ups and this does not offer a GAIN control.

I'd suggest the iRig HD 2 or something with GAIN control offered on it's input to get you the best possible signal level for Electric Guitars or Basses.
